As part of an educational project, I designed a medical app by conducting user research and interviews, creating personas, developing information architecture, and building a prototype from wireframes to the final visual design, applying my medical background throughout the process. I also collaborated with another designer on an e-commerce project, where I focused on responsive web design and used auto layouts, components, and design systems to ensure visual consistency.

Healthcare app — HealthyPal

About project

Description

HealthyPal keeps all your important medical data in one place, simplifying health monitoring and care organization. It offers online consultations and helps you find specialists in various fields. Reminders for doctor visits and vaccinations ensure you stay on top of regular check-ups. The app also provides quick access to medical information for when you need help or have urgent questions.

User’s problems

Users face challenges in finding doctors due to the absence of a review database. They also find it inconvenient to manage and analyze their medical data on their own. Additionally, the lack of access to medical consultations during travel or business trips further complicates their situation.

Qualitative research

I did an online survey using Google Forms to observe a pattern and similarity in what potential user may want. A total 13 people responded which assisted me in framing the problem correctly. I also personally studied medical blogs and patient reviews of clinics, which helped in forming hypotheses and finding solutions.

  1. How do you prefer to schedule an appointment with a doctor?
  2. How do you find the right specialist? What criteria do you use when choosing?
  3. How do you access medical care when you are not at your permanent residence?
  4. In what format do you keep your doctor's prescriptions and test results?
